London Art Fair 2014

Talks, Tours & Performances

Every year London Art Fair presents an extensive programme of Tours, TalksPerformances and Film Screenings during the Fair, locating content from the Main Fair, Art Projects and Photo50 in a critical context as well as covering wider contemporary concerns. All tours and talks are free to attend a Fair ticket or invitation.

FULL TALKS PROGRAMME
Distinguished speakers considered topics as diverse as contemporary African photography to the art market at the start of the 20th century, how to go about collecting performance art and a discussion around the commoditisation of art. Those giving talks included Iwona Blazwick, Sue Steward, ArtTactic, Paul Hobson of the Contemporary Art Society and Charles Saumarez Smith.

Talks are held in the Talks and Discussions Theatre located on Gallery Level 2, above Art Projects.

PHOTOGRAPHY FOCUS DAY
This year's Photography Focus Day was be held on Wednesday 16 January 2013. The programme of talks and tours for the day focused on contemporary photography and the issues affecting it today.

THURSDAY LATE
London Art Fair kept its doors open late to the public for a special event on Thursday 17 January: Thursday Late.

Thursday Late provided an opportunity to browse the Fair until 9pm whilst enjoying complimentary drinks, talks,films and performances. The first 500 visitors will also received a complimentary goodie bag from The Art Fund.
