What is Art Projects?

A curated showcase of the freshest contemporary art from across the globe, Art Projects features large-scale installations, solo shows and group displays, alongside an extensive Film Programme presenting a selection of experimental film and video work.

Art Projects is situated alongside the main Fair on Gallery Level 1.

The section has established itself as an important international platform for new galleries to showcase the most stimulating contemporary practice, and continues to garner widespread critical acclaim.

'Art Projects allows galleries to be very experimental in the stand itself, allowing artists to play with another part of their practice’

Dialogues

‘Dialogues’ is a guest curated section within Art Projects featuring collaborative presentations between invited UK and international galleries.

Following a successful inaugural year under the curatorship of Adam Carr, the section returns for London Art Fair 2015 with the appointment of new curator Anna Colin. Anna is also associate curator of the Fondation Galeries Lafayette in Paris and co-curator of the next British Art Show. More on Anna

Galleries selected to participate in the next edition of 'Dialogues' will be announced in October.

'Dialogues' 2014 collaborations were:

- DREI, Cologne / Limoncello, London
- Galleria Stereo, Warsaw / The Sunday Painter, London
- SABOT, Romania / Maria Stenfors, London
- Frutta, Rome / Seventeen, London

With many of these galleries and artists working together for the first time, the section delivered a unique exhibition of critical conversations around shared ideas and common aesthetics, establishing a new framework in the relationship between galleries, artists, art fairs and the public.

Film & Performance Programme

Film screenings and performances feature as part of the Art Projects' programme. The film programme, presented in a purpose-built screening room and curated by Pryle Behrman, draws on the freshest talent while performances highlight the range of artistic practice that the Fair now covers.

The 2015 Film Programme will be announced in December.
