Photography Tour with Jean Wainwright
This tour will introduce photography for sale in the Main Fair, Art Projects and Photo50, introducing specific artists and giving an art historical context.  Jean has published extensively on contemporary art as well as appearing on television and radio programmes.

What is Participatory photography?
Chaired by Janice McLaren (Head of Education and Projects, The Photographers’ Gallery), panelists Jane Martin (Programme Manager, PhotoVoice), Jenny Matthews (Photographer and participatory photography facilitator) and Emily Stein (Founder, We Are Photogirls) will be discussing who really benefits from participatory photography and how can a photographer facilitating a participatory photography project manage the tension between what drives them as a photographer and what it means to enable someone else to truly represent their own voice through photography.

   
1.30 - 2.30  Collecting Photography
This session on collecting photography offers advice for the individual and considers acquisition strategy for institutions. Speakers include Susanna Brown (Curator, Photographs, V&A), Elizabeth Neilson (Curator and Head of Collection, 176 / Zabludowicz Collection), Simon Baker (Curator of Photography, Tate) with Georgina Adam, (Editor-at-Large for The Art Newspaper).
   
3.30 - 4.30  Documenting Conflict: Factual Record or Fine Art? 
This discussion considers the relationship between documentary and fine art photographic practice. How has conflict been recorded? Is the documentary imperative compatible with a fine art aesthetic? A distinguished panel includes Sophie Wright (Cultural and Print Room Director, Magnum Photos), Kathleen Palmer (Acting Head of Art at Imperial War Museum), Francis Hodgson (FT) with Dr Julian Stallabrass (Reader, Courtauld Institute of Art).
