Kiki Mazzucchelli is an independent curator, editor and writer working between London and São Paulo for over 15 years.
She is currently curating a solo exhibition of Brazilian avant-garde artist Flávio de Carvalho that will take place at S2 Gallery in London (March 2019). Recent exhibition projects include Conjuro de rios at Art Museum of the National University of Colombia in Bogotá (2018), Ivens Machado: The Raw of the World at Pivô in São Paulo (2016) and the Site Santa Fe Biennial (Santa Fe, 2016). Mazzucchelli has previously curated projects in art fairs including Pinta London (2012/13); ARCO Madrid (2015); ArtBo in Bogotá (2017); and most recently at Zona Maco Sur, Mexico City (2018).
Mazzucchelli has written extensively on the work of Latin American artists and is the editor of Tonico Lemos Auad’s monograph (Koenig, 2018) and Marcelo Cidade – Blind Wall (Cobogó, 2016). She is the artistic director of Kupfer, London, and co-curator of Residência Belojardim, an experimental residency and education programme taking place annually in north-east of Brazil.
In 2017 Mazzucchelli co-founded the Gasworks’ Brazilian Residency Patrons’ Circle, which offers a fully funded 3-months residency for artists based in Brazil.
