Gala Fine Art is a roving online contemporary art gallery established in 2015 by director Kate Bignold who is based in Bristol, UK. It represents an exciting group of emerging, mid-career and established British and international fine artists at art fairs, pop-up exhibitions and online. We are delighted to be presenting paintings by Golnaz Afraz, Kate Halsall, Dan Parry-Jones, Annette Pugh and Lucy du Sautoy at London Art Fair 2024.
All of Gala Fine Art’s artists are painters selected for their distinctive creative styles. Typically they juxtapose traditional painting techniques with additional processes, such as screen-printing, photographic transfer and collage, creating work that often boasts a cinematic quality and a strong photographic element. Whether their work is bold and vibrant or subtle and muted, each artist places considerable importance on colour.
Gala Fine Art’s artists exhibit regularly throughout the UK and internationally at art fairs, in solo and group gallery shows and major jury-selected exhibitions such as the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London, the Annual Open Exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol, the Society of Women Artists Summer Exhibition and the RBSA Open. They win or are shortlisted for a host of prestigious art awards, including the BP Portrait Award, the ING Discerning Eye prizes, Artists & Illustrators Artist of the Year, the Columbia Threadneedle Prize for Figurative Art and the Society of Women Artists awards.
