London Art Fair: Edit

FAIR PROGRAMME

Whilst we are unable to run London Art Fair in its usual format at the Business Design Centre, we remain focused on delivering a unique opportunity to discover and champion the most outstanding Modern and Contemporary Art of our time.

Returning for its 33rd edition, the Fair presents leading modern and contemporary galleries in an alternative digital format: London Art Fair: Edit.

From 20 – 31 January (VIP Preview 18 – 19 January), we welcome you to browse through online Viewing Rooms, Artsy online catalogue and an exceptional programme of digital talks, panel discussions and events.

The Fair’s alternative model will continue nurturing collecting at all levels, from major works by internationally renowned artists to prints and editions.

Online gallery profiles featuring 20 works per gallery, giving visitors the opportunity to discover, browse and enquire upon selected works.

Works are presented with audio and written commentaries narrated by the galleries themselves, allowing you to interact with the works on show in an alternative format.

LAF SELECTS

New additions to 2021 include LAF Selects, with invited experts, collectors and prominent friends of the Fair presenting their own personal highlights from the Viewing Rooms.

As we cannot come together face-to-face this year, our workshop programme will be hosted online and take place throughout the duration of the Fair.

Try your hand at an array of different art techniques online. From textiles to print, the LAF EDIT workshop programme will offer you the chance to develop existing skills or learn something completely new.

The workshops are suited to all levels of abilities and will run throughout this year’s digital Fair programme, from 20 – 31 January.

London Art Fair: Edit’s programme of talks provide a timely review of the art market today, presenting the perfect setting for both the experienced collector and new art-world enthusiast. For the first time the talks programme will be hosted online, as a series of curated talks, panel discussions, providing an in depth insight to art world topics.

The programme consists of; trends and topics emerging within the contemporary art scene, tips on building your art collection, artist’s talks and more. Tickets for the digital talks are free but a place must be booked to receive full instructions on how to access the talk.

Launched for the first time in 2019, a guest curated exhibition focusing on a single distinct theme, the section includes galleries presenting well-known, overlooked and emerging artists that align to the theme.

Curator Candida Stevens presents this year’s theme, Folk Art – a view to our cultural heritage, our communities and our identity.
