Large cat eyes, hooded figures, star bursts and strange plant life emerge and sink back into it’s folds. These are shamanic presences. The cave is an almost universal archetype of the unknown, of safe spaces, of ritual and transformation, of early human art. The meshes and skeins of synthetic digital layers suggest a place where virtual matter can coat the geological, where slow ancient planetary time and future VR time communicate. This cave is a portal and a moebian fold in spacetime – peering into the recesses of the space, the viewer can see the Milky Way galaxy suspended in the dark interior
