Photo50 is London Art Fair’s annual exhibition of contemporary photography, providing a critical forum for examining some of the most distinctive elements of current photographic practice. Guest curated every year, it highlights a timely theme in current photography and adds a space and context to the photography presented by galleries at the Fair.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Laura Noble as curator of the fourteenth edition of Photo50, presenting Occupy the Void; an exhibition which will explore the vast pool of talented living female photographers aged over 50 and the cultural ‘space’ they inhabit.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Entitled Occupy the Void, this exhibition looks at different spaces and how we fill them throughout our lives and even after death. The physical, psychological and ephemeral nature of our use of space and our perception of existing within it will be explored by a group of contemporary photographers and artists working in the UK and internationally. This reflective look at our lives both into and beyond the void, invites visitors to experience and reflect upon their own placement within the ideas explored in the art on display.
Occupy the Void will be an inclusive exhibition, presenting established names and artists at early stages of their career.
