Candida Stevens: is the founding director of Candida Stevens Gallery, a curation-led gallery established in 2014. After 20 years of immersion in business, initially in new media, then luxury goods and fine art, curating collections and developing and directing small businesses, Candida moved from London and set up

independently as Candida Stevens Gallery in 2012, with the gallery in Chichester opening in 2014. Since that time she has established a reputation as a gallery of note in the UK, both for her ambitious curatorial themes and ability to attract important contemporary British artists to create and respond with new and vital work.

Cynthia Corbett, Director, Cynthia Corbett Gallery: Cynthia Valianti Corbett a native of Marlborough Massachusetts is the Founder and Director of the Cynthia Corbett Gallery and the Young Masters Art Prize an international contemporary art gallery which has an annual exhibition programme and regularly exhibits at contemporary art fairs.

Cynthia trained as an art historian at Christie’s Education before establishing her gallery in 2004. Prior to this, she had a high-profile career as an international economist specialising in emerging markets and was the principle architect of the debt conversion plans for most of Sub-Saharan Africa in the 1980s. Cynthia was also a regular commentator in the financial broadsheets in both New York and London. She relocated from New York City to London in 1986.

Cynthia obtained a BA with Honors (Magda Cum Laude) & was a Commonwealth Scholar, from UMASS Amherst in Political Science and holds an MALD from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

Vanessa Jackson, RA, artist: Vanessa Jackson is a painter and installation wall painter, whose use of geometry and its three dimensional function deny the supposed flatness of modernist space. Her work explores the contradiction of a fully realised space at once pertaining to logic and completeness and uncertainty and unease. The ornamental and optical play of colour and form in the artist’s work both confirms and confuses the sense of perception.

Jackson studied at St Martins School of Art from 1971 until 1975, followed by the Royal College of Art. She was President of the New Contemporaries in 1975 and had her first solo show at the AIR Gallery in 1981. She undertook the Yaddo Residency in New York twice, 1985 and 1991. She was chair and then patron for Brazier’s International Artist’s Workshop until 2013. She recently won The Sunny Dupree Family Award for a Woman Artist for the RA’s Summer Exhibition 2015.

Juliette Bigley, sculptor, Contemporary Applied Arts: Juliette Bigley makes abstract metal sculptures based on composite geometric forms that explore how our internal experiences interact with the world. Made to contribute to her thinking rather than as conclusions in themselves, they are ‘punctuation marks’ in an on-going dialogue between thinking, writing and making.

Juliette has exhibited at Design Miami, ArtGeneve, Tresor and Collect (winning Collect Open in 2018) with a solo exhibition at The Scottish Gallery in 2019. She has work in the V&A and the Irish State collections and has received funding from Arts Council England. Juliette is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She produced my first publication, Material Perspectives, in 2018
