Susana Sanromán is a Spanish visual artist working in different media: Photography, VideoArt, Installation, and Performance, focusing her work on the impact of the consumerist on the natural environment.

Part Of Sanromán ‘Angst ‘series Chrysalis corresponds to a dream based on a metamorphosis, from woman to chrysalis. Susana believes that the dream presents itself as an “emotional manifestation” of her anguish, evoking a need for change and rebirth

Susana, in her live sculpture Performance, ‘Chrysalis’  will be swaddled in wraps until  fully cocooned.

The piece was originally designed as a photographic piece. The original process took 7 hours and 33 minutes. The duration of the performance today is 15 to 20 minutes.
